Fake. Apple "ordered" a company to send all its manuscripts to it?
Companies don't "order" each other around....that wouldn't get very far in the business world.
Obviously they are paying them to do it. I order McDonald's around every time I walk in there and order them to make me a McFlurry. I order Rubio's to make me a 99 cent fish taco. I order myself to shut up now or this could go on for hours:)

perhaps the new ultra-portable will not need a power cord.
I remember a patent application from a while back . . .
True, I remember that. More reasons to hope for my new slim Macbook! yay!

1.83GHz 17" iMac - $1549
2.00GHz 17" iMac - $1849
2.16GHz 20" iMac - $2299
2.16GHz 24" iMac - $2999
That's a bit higher than I'd thought for the 24" model, I was thinking about $2599 but ah well.
Off to check out edu prices.
It's $1999 Stateside. It's actually proportionally cheaper in the currency conversion than the 17" stripper base model.

So here we have a bunch of guys complaining that Adobe likes to take your money and that its overpriced and what not...pretty weird since i don't see you guys making complaints when Apple is making you pay twice sometimes 3 times the price of what hardware is actually worth...especially in the Mac Pro department....nobody complains when Apple is giving you crap outdated 2009 video cards in 2010 -2011 computers while expecting you to pay as much in 2011 as you would in 2009.
Just saying that Apple probably has the biggest hypocritical user base of all user bases...always criticizing something but never Apple because Apple is the best wright...this could be the case in the past but these days the only thing Apple is great at is releasing poorly build and full of error machines.
on the Adobe thing, just go ahead and download it already and download a nice album for whilst your working, maybe a movie to relax in the evening if the price is to high, have fun getting stuff for free lives expensive enough as it is...everybody here probably did some pirating but hey lets all act as if we are 100% legit LOL, its not as if Adobe's CEO is going to starve from hunger...besides that i'm totally pro piracy  yup...why should the arrogant west be the only ones whom have access to good software...how about the talented guys/kids...in poor country's whom hardly have enough money to buy food...why shouldn't they be allowed to use the software, watch new movies, listen to nice tunes...prices should be fair, as long as prices ain't fair there can't be fairplay in the game

I just installed ClickToFlash (http://rentzsch.github.com/clicktoflash/) on all my Macs and my browsing experience has dramatically increased 1000% for the better. No more intrusive pop-up ads, distracting animations, and more importantly, long-loading, resource-intensive, useless, gimmicky intros and gadgets... unless I specifically ask for it.
I can only imagine what would happen if Flash apps on the iPhone didn't have such an ability to be optionally downloaded, let alone execute upon it loading. It's bad enough that AT&T's bandwidth is horrendous at times, I don't need to waste half a megabyte just downloading an advertisement.

ClickToFlash is Awesome. My computer runs so much cooler now that I've installed it.

I think Mac sales are directly tied to the Halo affect of the iOS devices. The more they sell there, the more people open up to Mac as an alternative. With Lion having more iOS like interfaces, it will make it even more natural for new customers.
I think this is part of their strategy... that is, iTunes/AppStore/iOS ecosystem made them successful ($) and they have millions of loyal customers; they can transition these user, to Mac by making it have the similar features & feel.
I also think that part of their strategy is to much more aggressively roll out Apple stores to non-US markets to do this.

Yeah I know people who hacked Tiger and hacked Vista too, but most people will buy the OS. You don't make billions if no one is buying your product.
People wont bundle Vista with their products if MS will price the resellers with the same price points. Then, who'll buy Vista if not bundle buyers?

The human spirit is capable of many good things, but without an accurate understanding of who God is and our relationship to him these good works become nothing but acts of vanity and self glorification that serve only to advance pride and promote self-reliance.
I find this statement utterly appalling. Do those who sacrifice themselves for others do so from selfish motives?
I agree. There is so much wrong with the original statement in addition to your point. I consider "goodness" to get your spot in heaven the ultimate in selfishness. Also, what about gods other than Jesus, are the good things performed in their name just as "selfless"?

I'm sorry, I would buy a iPad 3D, just so I could play Angry Birds in 3D. This coming from someone who vowed never to play nice with the Apple iEcosystem. But if Apple can do it, and HP/Palm and MS are nowhere in sight with their 3D tablets, well... iPad it is I guess.

This thread has, to the best of my knowledge, managed to stay tablet free up until now...thanks for contaminating a great thread with pie in the sky. :D
hehe, i just want a tablet, with translusant ipod like edges...lemme dream a little bit, ok?
in all seriousness though, they've 2 notebook lines, and 3 screen sizes. in order to continue their growth, they've to get into even more niche markets, while expanding their mainstream markets.

People already piss and moan about it. If apple really wanted to have a low environmental impact they would build their products where they have Higher standards for environmental quality.
They do. Changed their packaging to minimum needed as best as possible.
Using material that can be recycled, pcb free cables etc.etc.
If they give the production to FoxConn they can only get involved to a certain point. Too much demands on their partners and they won't get any production.
The Chinese and other countries have and still are learning that at the end of the day, they need trees, clean water etc., so they do adapt.
Because there is a lot of new technology out, they go through the environmental adaptation process faster than others in previous years.

AGAIN, let me restate the following:
- Brazil has one of the most expensive workforces in the world - please don't think that the world's second-biggest Western democracy is the same as an Asian sweatshop - Apple or Foxconn are NOT going there because of cheap labor - it's a much more strategic reason, along with lower logistical costs;
- Upper-level salaries in Brazil are ALREADY higher than in the US or Europe, for reasons of economic growth and increased demand for skilled positions. A C-level executive in BR earns an average of $520,000, as opposed to some $400,000 in the US and Europe.
HAHAHHA are you retarded? Of all places with such high division of upper and lower class you are going to use Brazil when comparing to the US? C-Levels will not be the ones on the factory floor. Spend 5 seconds on google and you are going to see a much different view in terms of labour cost. In fact I'm a little disappointed you would even argue that cheap labour is not one of the benefits of Brazil. You must be out of touch. FYI monthly salary will be wayy south of $500/month. Hate to tell you this but Foxconn is the highest exporter in % of GDP for ALL of China (I think they proven their competency.).. and well...you are an arm chair president with tons of misinformation.

Hum this is brilliant marketing.
The subscription price serves as an anchor price that makes you feel the regular price is cheaper, hence more buying are expected at regular price.

Never had a classic myself, but I think for some people it works and depending on sales apple will decide if it is worth it or not to continue selling it.

I love the Hecho en China threads!
Every time, posters come out to support China and insult the US. They all use the same talking points:
US workers are lazy
Unions are evil
Regulations against pollution, etc are burdensome
An iPhone would cost $1000 or even more!
Taxes on rich people/corporations are too high.
Hmmm.....sponsored by our right wing, or by Foxcon?
