hmm... I've just edited a video for a uni project in After Effects... and having done another video in FCP before I thought these two programmes had similar interfaces though AE was much better though I do like FCP's automatic snapping when dragging video clips around.
As for this preview for the new FCPX, quite a few features I thought were great (especially audio clean up), but not so sure on the layout (similarity to iMovie) and compared to AE all the buttons and knobs are clearly allocated... But yeah I'm keen to give it a try.

Please explain to me who would buy a mini and why?
I just don't get it when a imac is close in price with a monitor.
What am I missing?
some people use the mini form factor in a different way. A lot of people already have a keyboard, mouse, and a nice lcd. Now the people i don't understand are the ones that go out and buy a 23inch ACD or 20inch ACD and buy a mini, makes no sense. But if you check out my sig you can see why i have my mini. I bought it specifically to use with my 42inch HDTV. I've been thinking about having a desktop setup so I may just purchase a new 17inch or 20inch imac. I thought about buying a display but i'd rather have the added extras that a new imac has. Just bc you wouldn't buy a mini doesn't mean other people don't have good uses for them. I love my mini and never want to get rid of it. Works great on my hdtv bc i have vga input on it. so i store all my music and play dvds through it to the tv.....

You are the one in need of fact checking. Jobs has said in a number of interviews that iTMS will generate enough money to basically break even. iTMS is there to sell iPods, not to make a profit.

I'll agree that the future of casual games may be going in this direction, but core gamers will use this to supplement their gaming.
Come back when you can play gears, modern warfare or Uncharted and have the same or better tactile experience and I'll gladly eat my own words. Until then it's all a pipe dream.

you make a good point, but to really excel at gaming, you can't have a jack of all trades device - look at the PSP for instance- great wee machine, but it was far too spread, functionality wise to be a great success. With the advent of thunderbolt and its high bandwidth, will it possible for a gfx card to be sited externally in some kind of cradle and be used as the main gfx card or wouldn't the internal "plumbing" allow it to happen ?

Your success depends just as much on your prep work as it does on the examining lawyer from the USPTO side.
Fortunately we had a great lawyer working with us from the USPTO.
I got one approved for my wife's company name, and lost the other trademark application for of all things, being descriptive.
We knew the second was a long shot, but had to try.

True, but its a wait for the overzealot AMD CPU fan base. AMD is very well behind Intel right now in CPUs. Their 6-core offerings barely match the processing power of a i7-870; which is a 4-core, 1156 socket! They can't even match the 1366 socket yet... not to mention the monster of a CPU that is the i7-980X.

As I said, competitors planted news about iPhone 3 flaws, and then iPhone 4 flaws, and I'm sure they will do the same about iPhone 5 flaws. The flaws will exist, of course, but it will be inflated to the point where it's implied you are crazy if you buy an iPhone 5. And all of the iPhone 5 competitors who have similar flaws will get a pass.
Until the iPhone 6 comes out and the cycle repeats. Now, if we had reporters who did more than stenography, we might get rationality instead of emotionalism when this stuff gets pushed by PR firms.

the guy looks like he really took care of the car (based on his ad). The pictures make it seem mint, and he says all maintenance has been done regularly.
As I said before, there is no substitute for a thorough pre-purchase inspection by a competent BMW shop. These cars can be money pits.
I found the bimmerforums site a few days ago and have been searching quite a bit. Nothing I am finding seems out of the ordinary, or something I haven't seen yet.
Bimmerforums is mainly an E36 site. Bimmerfest is a better E46 resource.
As I said before, there is no substitute for a thorough pre-purchase inspection by a competent BMW shop. These cars can be money pits.
